I decided to go for a wander...Mui Ne

After the crazy night that was Miss Siagon I decided I needed a break, a holiday if you will. I had been grinding hard for the last month, working my ass off to gain my TESOL certification (which I did btw. Ya girl is globally qualified). I did what any expert traveller would do and jumped on Google and sorted out where I wanted to go.
Mui Ne. An absolutely beautiful seaside town that also happened to be where two things on my bucket list are (fairy stream and the red and white sand dunes, do yourself a favour, Google it). So I booked a sleeper bus, and two nights accomidation in a ridiculously cheap back packers, $4.90 NZD for both nights and that was me. The first mission I needed to tackle was getting to the bus. I get to the destination and I'm sitting in a dodgy wee "bus station", they call me over, I show them my booking number and they give me a ticket that's blatantly been made on Microsoft word. I sit back down in one of the empty
. Within 10 minutes the once empty station is a melting pot of scummy accents and like minded sweaty foreigners. Theres 18 of us at this point, and that's when it pulls up. A people mover with no seats, just pillows on the ground. You have to be kidding. I have never seen so many peoples faces simultaneously drop.
I am not getting in this for 5 minutes, your pulling my tit if you think I'm doing the 5 hour hike in it! Thankfully it's just a transport vehicle to our bus so we relunctly pile in. 18, 18 is the number of people you can fit in a van if you ever needed to know! The next bus is ... different. Not better, different. It's a bus full of bunk-ish like seats. Words do not do this justice . It wasn't too bad actually managed to get some shut eye so all in all not too bad.
The first day in Mui Ne was crazy. I checked in, put my stuff into a locker and headed to the pool. I decided that I wasn't going to drink cause I've been doing nothing but and I needed a break. I ordered some noodles, and orange juice and parked up on a sun lounger. Music was playing, the sun was shining and I was feeling good. The hours tick past and just as I'm about to call it a night two lovely girls come up to me and make a conversation. They get a round of drinks for us and its downhill from there. I get chatting to an amazing guy, originally from Canda who has lived a million lives and has the stories to prove it. After 4 hours he needs to head back to his room which is when I decide that it's a great time to get in the pool. Big mistake. It's a scene from a movie, there are people all over the show, spilling drinks in the water (which has turned a creamy colour due to all the different lotions and sun creams that everyone has on) That's when I get chatting to another guy, from London this time who is just head over heels for my accent a d wanted me to keep talking , which we all know I have no problem with! Normally it would be fine, just not in the sespit that was the resorts pool. At 4am we call it a night and head back to our own respective rooms.
The next morning rolls around, its 9am, my body is shutting down and I am exhausted. So happy i signed up for the 1pm tour. Pizza by the pool and a quick trip to the pharmacy for what I think is panadol, cough syrup and maybe strepsels? 1pm rolls around and one of the girls I met the night before is on the tour with me! So happy I have a friend. The first stop is Fairy stream, which unfortunately was very different to the pictures (but where isn't?) But it did provide some good scenery. Next we head to the white sand dunes which were incredible!!! Lucy, my new pal and I jump on the back of a quad and are driven around. If you have me on any social media you would have seen it 100 different ways, for that I am not sorry.
After the white dunes it was to the red dunes to watch the sunset. An absolutely beautiful day. I cant say how truly amazing it honestly was!
My last night in Mui Ne however I stuck to my guns, got a burger (very vietnamese I know) and headed back to my room for some Netflix in bed. In the morning I'm checking out and getting a 15 hour train to Da Nang! Cant bloody wait....
